Patio Door Glass

Here are some standard patio door glass panels that we have in stock, 28 x 76, 34 x 76, and 46 x 76 these are for aluminum patio doors,  to measure aluminum patio doors for new glass panels you first must measure the thickness of the glass that is to be used in the door, and to do this you must try to find some pieces of the old broken glass, but if this is not possible then you now have to rely on some good old detective work, ok Sherlock lets get to work.

Patglass1

you have to read the signs, exam-in the rubber and spread it open and measure where the glass has been sitting, (3/16" of an inch thick is real common) then you want to turn the rubber on its side and measure how deep the glass goes into the frame (probably 3/8"of an inch deep)  ( inspect the rubber real good ) and get out all the little tiny pieces of broken glass cause they could cause havoc if not removed

Patglass2

measure the (day-light measurement) which means the inside of the frame for both the width and the height

here are some examples of how to accomplish this  :

(example) 1
the day-light width measurement is 27 1/4 "  and the depth of the rubber is 3/8" of an inch times two = 3/4" of an inch
so 27 1/4 " plus 3/4" of an inch = 28 " inches

(example) 2

the day-light height measurement is 75 1/4 " and the depth of the rubber is 3/8" of an inch times two = 3/4" of an inch
so 75 1/4 " plus 3/4 " of an inch  = 76 " inches

now wasn't that fun folks
